You are loved!
Our prayer is when you walk into Shepherd of the Heart Church in Pearland, TX, you get the sense of coming home. No matter who you are or what you have done or not done Jesus' arms are open wide, welcoming you home. Whether you have grown up in church or never stepped into a church, you are welcome here. There are no perfect people here but instead, people who are doing their best to love Jesus and love each other.
1 John 4:19 "We love because he first loved us."

We Love Jesus!
Jesus came into the world knowing he would face rejection and that he would end up sacrificing his life on a cross, yet he still came. His love for us is so beyond what we can imagine and none of us deserve it, Yet he offers us grace and love. We only have to believe and say yes to it. Jesus gave of himself completely so we would receive forgiveness and new life. We believe in the love and transforming power of Jesus that comes into our lives and fills us with joy and peace.
16 From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. John 1:16.

Loving People
When Jesus was walking the earth he had a way of making people feel accepted and welcomed. We want you to know and feel when you walk in this church that you are wanted. It does not matter if you come in shorts and flip flops or are all dressed up. None of us are perfect, we all have bruises and scars from the past and Jesus loves us no matter what. It is important to us, to love as Jesus loves. We strive to love all people through the power and love of Jesus.
"16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."
